# Compose

> Write and send email

## New email

Press `C` to compose a new email. Fill in the To, CC, and BCC fields. Brevity suggests contacts as you type.

## Send

| Shortcut          | Action                      |
| ----------------- | --------------------------- |
| `Cmd+Enter`       | Send                        |
| `Cmd+Shift+Enter` | Send and archive the thread |

## Reply and forward

Open a thread and use the reply controls at the bottom, or press `F` to forward.

  **Send and archive** (`Cmd+Shift+Enter`) is the fastest way to reply and move on. It sends your reply and removes the thread from your inbox in one step.
