# Workflows

> Automate email handling with AI

Workflows combine filter rules with AI instructions to automatically process incoming email.

## Creating a workflow

Navigate to Workflows with `G W` or via the sidebar. Click **New workflow** and configure:

* **Name** — a label for the workflow
* **Rules** — filter rules that match emails (same as [split inbox](/features/split-inbox) rules: from, to, subject)
* **AI rules** — natural language conditions for the AI to evaluate
* **Instruction** — what the AI should do (e.g., "Draft a polite reply declining the meeting")

## Review mode

Each workflow has a review setting:

* **Ask before send** (default) — the AI drafts a response and waits for your approval
* **Send without review** — the AI sends automatically

## Managing workflows

Toggle workflows on or off without deleting them. Click into a workflow to see all emails it has processed.
