# Getting started

> Set up Brevity in under a minute

<Steps>
  <Step title="Download Brevity">
    Get Brevity from [withbrevity.email/download](https://withbrevity.email/download). Open the `.dmg` and drag Brevity to Applications.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with Gmail">
    Open Brevity and sign in with your Google account. Brevity uses OAuth — your password is never stored.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for sync">
    Brevity syncs and caches your email locally. This takes a moment on first launch.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Navigate">
    You're in your inbox. Press `J` and `K` to move between threads. Press `Enter` to open a thread.
